Stuart Everly-Wilson is an Australian writer living in Bundjalung country, Northern Rivers, New South Wales. His first published work, Low Expectations, was short-listed for the 2022 New South Wales Premier’s Glenda Adams Prize for best new writing. This staggeringly entertaining debut was also long-listed for the Dublin International Literary Prize, 2022.
The World Rights to Stuart’s follow-up novel, ‘THE MASKEYS’, have been acquired by TRANSIT LOUNGE.
Publisher, Barry Scott, describes the work as ‘brimming with wit and pathos’. Set in the fictional Australian town of Naples, it is the story of a small-town feud, involving a notorious family, responsible for much of the town’s crime and drug-related death.
Featuring a love-starved, lonely outcast called Rodney; killer, and reader of romance novels; Scott goes on to say; ‘it truly captured my heart and imagination. Daring and surprising at every turn, the Maskeys confronts the worst excesses of human nature, yet is also beautifully tender and incisive in its portrayal of the over-looked.’
